Seattle Chamber Music Play-In
May 18, 2024, 9:00am-1:00pm
Music Center of the Northwest
901 N 96th St Seattle WA 98103
Celebrating Worldwide Chamber Music!
Pre-registration is now open for the ACMP play-in on Sunday, May 18, 9am-1pm. Send email to acmpseattle@gmail.com with your name, instrument, and your preferred ensemble type (e.g. Don’t care, string quartet, piano quintet and so forth). By pre-registering, a slot in two play-in ensembles will be held for you.
The ACMP Seattle play-in provides an opportunity to play music with existing and new musician friends! Just sight-reading. No performance, no coaching, no pressure! You sign up for two ensembles when registration opens on March 23. Each group will decide prior to the play-in what they want to play.
Fee: Pay what you can. An optional $20 donation will help cover the cost of the play-in, payable at the door by cash or check made out to Music Center of the Northwest. You do not need to be a member of ACMP but you can join for FREE at https://www.acmp.net/
The play-in is open to amateur musicians with at least 2 years playing experience, ability to sight read a variety of music in different keys, and some experience playing chamber music.
Registration opens March 23 and closes May 9. Space is limited. We will have access to 9 studios (3 with pianos). Most of the slots are reserved for strings but there are slots for piano, flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, and horn. Two rooms will accommodate ensembles larger than quintet.
